The DJI Spark, the smallest drone of the chinese manufacturer. There are a thousand reviews out there about this small drone, so I will just write a few thoughts about it here instead of a technical review.
I ordered my drone soon after its announcement like many others, which meant I had to wait for its delivery. For about three months, it arrived finally in August last year. Although its my first drone ever (and also my first remote-controlled "thing") I flew it now for about four months. Here are what I think about it.
Size, Price and Value
I made a failure right from the beginning: I just ordered the drone with two spare batteries. Thinking of it will work only with the smartphone as a remote and charging it via cable. Completely Nonsens: Do yourself a favor and order the "Fly more"-Bundle right from the start. It will cost you more in the beginning, but I bought everything separately (expect the Prop-Gards, those are useless for my use of the drone) and that cost way more than the bundle.
With that out of the way, what you will get for your money is awesome. That little thing - and it really is small and therefore perfect to transport - is so much fun to fly. It is the size of your hand and wight-in at only around 350 grammes. This means taking that drone with you doesn't cost you a lot of space or weight. Just "throw" it in your backpack and your always ready to go. Thats huge! Oh, ehm, please don't throw it in the backpack, that will not end up good. But carefully stow it in will work perfectly ;)
There are some missing features that the bigger drones (Mavic Pro, Magic Air, Phantom 4) have. Of course, its a beginner-drone and nearly half the price of a Mavic Pro. You can't expect the same for that price. But in my opinion, thats totally okay and so the price is fair and the value, nevertheless the missing features, great! If your interested in buying your first drone: thats a really good option here - if not the best.
