Ramon Vilalta Pujol, Rafael Aranda and Carme Pigem Barcelò from the architecture office RCR Arquitectes wins the architectural Oscar, the Pritzer Price 2017. One of the buildings the got the price for is the amazing "Musée Soulages" in Rodez, France, completed in 2014.
One year after the opening I had the opportunity to visit this amazing museum and took some pictures. You can see them in this Post.
Rodez is a small and charming city in the south of France but not very famous for its architecture. Apart from its huge cathedral, there are not very much to find for an architects heart. That changed as the Musée Soulages (Link) opened in 2014. Pierre Soulages is one of the most important, currently living french artists. Born and still living in Rodez, the city built him this museum, planed and realzied by RCR Arquitectes from Barcelona.
It is an impressive building they created which are stunning from so many points. In 2015 took this pictures of the museum
